This long, looped infinity scarf is named after the river closest to my home, the Nissequogue (rhymes with “kiss a frog.”) Since much of the river is an estuary, canoeists travel in both directions based on the tides. The flowing lace and cables remind me of the water on a warm, summer evening while paddling on the river.
Nissequogue has a seed stitch edging and a center lace-and-cable pattern. Knit in one long piece, the cast-on and bind-off edges are joined to form a light, lacy wrap, as wearable as a beach wrap as it is as an eveningwear accessory.
4-page pattern with both charted and written row-by-row instructions.
This pattern has been professionally edited.
