Product Details
Bring some regal splendour into your home with your very own peacock! Norman is approximately 21cm/8¼in tall when seated and his tail feathers are around 35cm/13¾in at their widest point. His head is knitted using the intarsia method whilst his tail feathers are embroidered with gold metallic thread, making him the ideal project for adventurous knitters!
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles (although most can be knitted in the round). They're then seamed and attached using mattress stitch while the tail motifs feature a line of backstitch around them... but why stop there?! You could add intricate embroidery, beads or even sequins to create a timeless heirloom!
You'll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by professional technical editor to ensure that it's super-easy to follow!
Norman was knitted using Woolcraft New Fashion DK in Royal, Emerald, Kingfisher, Imperial, Mustard and White but the Hayfield Bonus DK yarns suggested are virtually identical.
