Product Details
I designed the original version of this tie for one of my younger brothers whilst he was going through his “Country Gent” phase – all tweed jackets and plus fours. Sadly he seems to have grown out of this phase and settled firmly into his standard farmers uniform but I still love the look of this tie and think that it would look equally fantastic with a smart suit at a summer wedding or to add a bit of vintage inspired style to any outfit. The name for the pattern is a nod towards my brother's love of vintage tractors, although strictly speaking he is more of a David Brown fan than a Nuffield one.
Instructions are given for making the tie 147cm/ 58 inches long which is suitable for someone 175-190cm/ 5 foot 9 inches - 6 foot 3 inches tall. Details of how to adjust the pattern to fit someone under or over this height range is also provided in the pattern notes.
