Product Details

Nyoko is Japanese for gem, which suit the cables - in the sides and on the collar - on this A-line dress with set-in sleeves. The remaining dress is worked in stockinette stitch to make the cables stand out and worked in the round to the armholes, then flat to the shoulders. Nyoko is knitted in the airy Norwegian combed wool yarn Ask from Hillesvåg Ullvarefabrikk.

Needles: 3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle (80 cm for hem). 3.5 mm/US 4 circular needle (100 cm/40”, extra set for hem). 3.5 mm/US 4 straight needle. Adjust needle size as needed to match gauge.

Gauge: 22 sts and 30 rows in st st using 3.5 mm/US 4 needle measures 10 cm square after blocking.

Notes: The dress is worked in the round to the armhole, then back and forth separately to the shoulders. The body and the shoulders are shaped for a better fit. A circular needle is used due to the large stitch number.
