Product Details
Okapi: (An animal - known as the forest giraffe or zebra giraffe with striped hindquarters and front legs. Native to the Ituri Rainforest, located in the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa)
This is a top down and seamless sweater constructed with saddle shoulders using contiguous shaping. (The contiguous method was developed by SusieM)
The pattern is written for lace weight yarn held double, combined to give 4 tweedy and tonal shades.
However, you may chose to knit the sweater with a single strand of fingering weight yarn.
Whatever yarn weight you chose, your colour options are endless. All you need is enough yarn in one shade to knit the body and sleeve tops: then you can go wild with various colour combinations for the stripy sleeves!
