Product Details
This hat was designed to match my dad’s Always a Wolverine Scarf. True to form, when asked what colors he wanted, my dad asked for maize and blue. Once a wolverine, always a wolverine. Whatever your allegiance, I hope this scarf will help you show your true colors. (And from my dad, “Go Blue!”)
The Once a Wolverine Hat pattern is a double layered hat made of two hats in one. The hat is worked in one piece, from the top of the simple striped hat to the brim, then up to the top of the other hat. The first hat uses simple stripes. The second uses slipped stitches to create a vertical stripe pattern, which culminates in a unique crown. Instructions are also included to make only the inner or outer hat.
The pattern has been test knit and tech edited.
Level: Intermediate
Only one color is used per round. Increases are used to form the crown of the inner hat and decreases are used to form the crown of the outer hat. The inner hat uses simple stripes and the outer hat uses slipped stitches.
