Product Details
One Scotch is my version of the basic ribbed cap. It's easy to modify for size, stripes or whatever yarn you have on hand. I played with the ribbing just a bit, and added a bunched crown, but the best part about making these is matching your colors. A great way to use up leftovers, these hats just fly off the needles! Knit in cashmere and wool, it's a luxurious hat, but manly colors keep it rustic enough for plaid flannels and Timberland boots. Or choose brighter colours for a more feminine look. Sizes given are will fit a child, teenager, or adult. The finished hat is shown in Plucky Knitter, Bello Worsted in Single Malt with Free Skate and Belgian Wit stripes and in Jack of all Trades with Flannel stripes. Alternative yarns are suggested, just 10 yards is needed for each stripe, check out your stash! Always match your gauge especially if you are substituting yarn.
