Construction
The socks are worked top-down from cuff to toe. The additional stitches for the calf are decreased along the leg. These socks are knitted in a rough style, the strands carried quite wildly on the wrong side of the work, so they show through the sts on the front. For these socks, I used the shadow-wrap heel technique. This specifique technique is not explained in the pattern, so if you are not familiar with it, you can find some youtube videos online. It is also perfectly possible to use your own preferred short-row heel technique. Both socks begin with 1x1 ribbing for the cuff, followed by working the chart as mentioned.
