This design is one of the 7 modern, minimalist sock patterns tailored to all natural sock yarns from SOCKS 2018.
A delicate cable surrounded by geometric rib and topped off with one of the most fun cuff shapes we've ever seen - meet the Origin Socks! They're a perfect to show off plant-based yarn strengtheners like the ramie in the Ovis Et Cetera base which not only gives the yarn shine, but durability as well. ⠀ ⠀
This pattern is written for a toe-up sock construction method. You have the option of working either a heel flap with gusset or a short row heel.
The sample was made with Ovis Et Cetera Igneae (60% South American wool, 20% ramie, 20% silk; 425 metres / 464 yards per 100 g). A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
