Product Details
This is the twelfth pattern in the Souvenir Skeins Collection! I created this pattern while we were staying on the coast of Oregon in the early spring. It was incredibly windy the whole time we were there, with cold wind blowing in off the Pacific Ocean. I wanted to create something to keep that wind off my neck while walking on the beach.
Basic Information:
Pattern is written in US crochet terms.
Yarn: Bulky or super bulky weight yarn (weight 5 or 6). Approximately 140-160 yards. I used approximately 145 yards of Bethel Creek Wool Works yarn for my original cowl.
Hook: Bulky weight: 7mm and 6mm. Super Bulky weight: 9mm and 7mm, or sizes needed to meet gauge.
Finished size: Bulky: 10.5” tall, 25” wide. Super Bulky: 10” tall, 28” wide.
Gauge: After blocking, with larger hook- Bulky: First 5 rows = 4” tall, width 4.5” measuring between center of ripple points. Super bulky: First 3 rows = 3” tall, width 5.5” measuring between center of ripple points.
