Product Details
This is a pattern for a hot pad or trivet to protect surfaces from hot pots and pans. The finished size is approximately 23cm in diameter.
To make the trivet you will need:
100% cotton DK yarn (Drops Muskat recommended). Acrylic can also be used, but it won't withstand piping hot pans. 4.00mm hook Darning Needle Scissors
Stitches:
*Front Post Treble Crochet (FPtr) *Back Post Treble Crochet (BPtr) *Treble Crochet (tr) *Chain (ch) *Slip Stitch (SS)
The combination of front and back post stitches make the trivet nice and thick and really effective against keeping heat off your surfaces.
One trivet uses about 50g of yarn, or 100m.
This pattern is worked in UK terms and has lots of photos and descriptions of how to work each round.

- I used Drops Muskat for these patterns, but any cotton in DK would work.
