Product Details
On a recent holiday my husband and I decided to walk up Parkers Ridge along the Icefield Parkway in Banff National Park, Canada. It was a beautiful clear spring day but I had forgotten that wind off the glaciers can be super cold. A perfect scenario for an earache and I had no hat. Hence, Parkers Ridge Hat was created. A compact, light weight hat for those unexpected moments! Whether it’s climbing a mountian, hiking a valley, sitting around the campfire, strolling around the lake, or sleeping in your tent, Parkers Ridge Hat fits the adventure. Knit on the bias, Parkers Ridge Hat is a perfect project for a partial skein of self-striping sock yarn or maybe that special fingering weight yarn you have tucked away.
Knitting the hat is an adventure all on its own, as my test knitters discovered when using a self striping yarn, the end result may contain a very fun surprise. My first hat, a flower appeared on the top!
