I knew I needed a scarecrow for one of my free Halloween crochet patterns this year, but I wasn't sure how I wanted him to look. Most of my patterns for these plushies are a "creepy but cute" look, but for this guy, he kind of just looked like a farmer for the longest time. So I put him away and came back to him with a few accessories that I hope make him look like more of a friendly scarecrow! I gave him a scythe and added some patches to the overalls to make it look a little less neat, but I think the too-big smile really brought it together.
