Patchwork Farm

This farmyard play set includes a blanket play mat, with decorations for the blanket (road, stream, etc), and farm animals. So you can use this blanket from birth to toddler and beyond, the decorations are knitted separately and can be sewn on or added during playtime later when suitable to the child’s age. Included in the pattern are the patchwork blanket knitted in aran yarn, and knitted in DK weight yarns are the decorative elements on the blanket (road, stream, fields, pond and mud wallow), hay bales, and the animals (sheep, cow, goat, pig, donkey, cockerel and chicks, goose, mallard and ducklings, and a sheepdog). Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, this set is knitted in acrylic yarns. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short row shaping, knitting stripes, adding crochet borders, crochet single chains, Swiss darning embroidery, and seaming to finish. The blanket is approx 74cm x 96cm.
