Product Details
Paterson is a stylish short sleeved sweater with typical style details of the 1940s. It has a neatly fitting body, set-in puff sleeves and a high neckline fastened with either a zip or button at the back neck. The all-over colourwork design uses contrasting pale and dark blue backgrounds with traditional red, yellow and natural white used for the foreground patterns.
The body is worked in the round from the bottom up to the armhole divide. Stitches are placed on waste yarn at the underarms and steek stitches added. Steek stitches are also added for back and front neck openings. The sleeves are also knitted in the round from the bottom up, with steek stitches worked at the sleeve head.
The sample shown is the second size, worn with zero ease. It is suggested you choose a size with between 1cm (1/4in) of negative ease and 8 1/2cm (3 1/4in) of positive ease, depending on the fit desired. The pattern contains full colour charts plus written instructions as well as a clear schematic diagram
