Product Details
I wanted to design a shawl that incorporated traditional lace pat¬terns, reminiscent of peacock feathers, into a simple rectangular shawl. This is a good first lace piece for a confident knitter, but still has enough going on to maintain your interest if you’ve more experience. The shawl is very easy to resize; since all the repeats across the different stitch patterns are the same width, simply work more (or fewer) panels. Of course length is also easily changed by working more or fewer repeats of each stitch pattern. Worked in luxurious Blue Sky Alpacas Alpaca Silk, the Peacock Shawl would make a treasured gift – if you can bear to remove it from your own shoulders! Skills: Simple lace, grafting, reading charts
