Product Details
This is the first in a series of socks inspired by the Hunger Games Trilogy and movies.
My inspiration for this sock was wheat growing in a field. Peeta is golden haired, the son of a baker, and "the boy with the bread." He saves Katniss and her family by tossing some burnt bread to her when they were starving after the death of her father.
Wheat also grows strong, and straight, and true, much like Peeta, who remains ever faithful.
This sock was designed to be knit in two colors in fingering weight yarn but also looks lovely in sport and light fingering in one or two colors.
This pattern includes three sizes, three toe options, and extensive notes for modifying the length of the sock whilst maintaining the spirit of the original pattern.
Charts are extensively utilized in this pattern. You need to be comfortable reading charts to successfully knit these socks. But don't worry, I explain all of my symbols in extensive detail, so this pattern is okay for a novice chart r
