About this Design:At the Geo Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada, there is a display outlining the different types of rock that comprise the province and the age of the rock itself. The striation lines in a chunk of Peridotite captured my interest and I started thinking about stitch patterns that employ cables and traveling stitches. When I came across the diamond shapes of the stitch pattern used in this piece, I knew I had found a match.
