Product Details

The graphic pattern of outspread magpie wings inspired this crescent-shaped shawl. Pica is the scientific name of the widespread genus of magpies that are found across the northern hemisphere. Although magpies are often assumed to be black and white in coloration, their feathers actually possess a deep blue iridescence, which is captured by this so-deep-blue-it’s-almost-black colorway from Malabrigo. This shawl is knit in one piece with no seaming and features short rows to construct the shaped sections.
