Product Details
One of the many ethnic delicacies you can find in abundance in Pittsburgh is the pierogi, a humble potato-filled dumpling that can be made in any number of flavors. You'll find them at food trucks, on the menu at trendy restaurants, and even running the bases at Pittsburgh Pirate home games. These quick-to-knit slipper socks have a pierogi-shaped tab on the back of leg, just above the heel flap, that makes the slipper both warmer and a bit easier to pull on.
To knit this pattern, you need to know how to work flat and in the round, pick up a stitch from the cast-on edge and work it together with a live stitch, pick up stitches from along a slipped-stitch edge, work basic decreases in knit and purl, and use Kitchener stitch to graft live stitches.
This pattern has been tech edited and test knit.
