Product Details

The Spanish word for “pillar,” the name Pilar suits this slouchy with its many rows of tall stitches. You can make the hat in either fingering- or sport-weight yarn.

It's worked from  the top down with stretchy tall stitches and finishes with a wide, ridged band that uses post stitches.  In fingering/sock yarn, the gauge for the body of the hat is looser than normal and the hat has a nice drape.  In sport-weight yarn, the gauge is a recommended one, and the hat is thick and cozy.
