Product Details

This sock was inspired by Peregrin Took, hobbit of the Shire, Squire of Gondor, and member of the Fellowship as it left Rivendell in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Fellowship of the Ring.

The pattern has been thoroughly knit-tested and proofread by others, to whom I owe quite a lot! Thank you so much.

Skill Level: Intermediate; Pattern assumes basic knowledge of top-down sock construction, cabling, decreases, and chart reading (which is very important!). Materials: 1 Set of US1.5 DPNs or size to achieve gauge (Some of my testers used the Magic Loop method and stitch markers with no problems), Cable Needle (or be able to cable without a needle-- strongly recommended!), tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape Yarn: approx. 400 yds of fingering weight is needed (I used Nuna and needed 3 skeins to have enough to finish up the size large sock). Ease: Very slightly negative-- it’s a stretchy sock. Size & Measurements: Small (64 stitches) & Large (72 stitches) --Ca
