Pocket Full of Cloves has a simple to remember 8 round repeat, making this a fun to knit pattern. Perfect for when I’m sitting and gabbing with my grandmother, just engaging enough to keep my mind active as her dementia has her repeating the same story over and over, but simple enough where I can take notice when a new story surfaces.
Worked in the round, Pocket Full of Cloves contains both cuff-down and toe-up written directions and a chart for the pattern stitch. The pattern has instructions for an afterthought heel, but you may substitute whatever heel you enjoy using.
The pattern is written for the magic loop method for knitting socks; however, the design could be worked on double-pointed needles or mini-circulars instead should you prefer.
