Crochet pattern for a realistic, life-sized weasel amigurumi, as well as the modifications to turn it into a stoat or an ermine.
Size: 15cm/6” from worsted weight, 13cm/5 ¼” from DK weight (not including tail)
Tools and materials: DK or worsted weight yarn in brown, white, and black - 3mm hook if using DK weight yarn, 3.5mm for worsted - 4.5mm (for DK)/5mm (for worsted) black plastic eyes - fiberfill stuffing - stitch markers, pair of scissors, pair of tweezers, pins, yarn needle - sewing thread and needle, or glue, to attach the eyes
Difficulty: suitable for intermediate to advanced level crocheters, who are confident with basic stitches (ch, sl st, sc) and frequently used amigurumi techniques (invisible decrease, magic loop).
The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology (UK/Aus equivalents provided). It contains many in-progress photos to help you crochet your weasel/stoat/ermine, but also includes a text-only appendix for easy printing.
