This shawl was designed as a Christmas shawl with the Poinsettia flower in mind. But it was also intended to be shawl that could be used at other times of the year.
It can be knitted in a warm version using Blackhill Highland Wool, or in a lighter version using Coast yarn from Holst Yarn (55% wool/45%cotton)
