Ponytail Peep

This headband is designed for long-haired ponytail wearers. Now as well as having the option of ponytail over or ponytail under, you can choose ponytail through! Alternatively, for those without a ponytail, close the gap in your headband and wear it in the usual way.

The band is designed especially for multi-coloured yarns with relatively short colour repeats, allowing fun colour play due to the ribbed bands worked in the round and the shorter garter stitch rows of the central section worked flat.

The headband is sized to fit an average sized woman's head with a circumference of approx 22" (56cm). The headband itself measures about 18" (45cm) around, and about 4" (10cm) wide.

You will need around 100-120 yards of fingering weight yarn, 2.5mm (US 1.5) circular needle (or DPNs if you prefer), and a darning needle for weaving in ends (and closing the ponytail hole if you prefer it without).
