Product Details
Inspired by fields full of hundreds of thousands of poppies which bloom in early summer on the north Cornish coast, the Poppy Fields Tote features 3D ruffled poppies sitting on neat granny hexagons which are joined using a flat slip stitch join, before finishing with two thermal stitch handles.
Written in English using U.S. terminology, the Poppy Fields Tote pattern features photos to illustrate stitch placement at each stage, and a comprehensive stitch guide with links to YouTube demonstrations for the more unusual stitches and techniques.
You will need:
-approximately 600m/650yds of DK/light worsted weight cotton yarn in three colours. I used Deramores Studio Organic Cotton (100% cotton, 105m/115yds per 50g) - a good substitute would be Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK
-4mm hook
-8 stitch markers
Finished size is approximately 28cm wide and 28cm long, with handles measuring 55cm (21 1/2") end to end.
