Knit using self-striping sock yarn, this fun slouchy hat is perfect for early- or late-season days when a heavier hat is just too much. It’s perfect for stashing in a pocket “just in case,” too!

Materials Needed: Yarn: 50 g of fingering weight yarn; sample knit using one ball of KnitPicks Felici self-striping sock yarn (218 yards)

Needles: Two US 4 (3.5 mm) 16” (41 cm) circular needles or one 32” (81 cm) circular needle of same size

Notions: Waste yarn (smooth yarn works best) Crochet hook about the same size as your needle Stitch marker Tapestry needle

Finished Measurements: Gauge: 28 sts and 38 rows over 4” (10 cm) Finished hat is 10” from cuff to tip and is about 17” (43 cm) in circumference. It easily stretches to fit a 21-23” (53-58 cm) head
