Product Details
Treasure Yourself Puiaki is Te Reo Maori for “treasure” or “precious”. This precious shawl is knit bottom-up using extremely simple short rows to form the body. The lace border comes from Japanese stitch patterns, which have always been my go to whenever I want to create a design with a stitch pattern that really creates an intricate portrait on the fabric.
There is so much detail that goes into this particular stitch pattern, with it’s twisted stitches, increases, and decreases, as well as the cluster stitch, that you can’t help but just look at how beautiful it is!
This pattern requires a bit more concentration to work up, but the final result will be extremely worth it when you carry this precious shawl on your shoulders! Lovely to give as a gift to a friend, or to treat yourself to something a little more fancy!
