Product Details
Wool dryer balls are a wonderfully simple way to make your electric clothes dryer more efficient while reducing static and eliminating the need for dryer sheets and fabric softener. They are simple and quick to make, are super for stash-busting yarn leftover from other wool projects, and they make wonderful gifts! Completed balls can be stored in a lidded container with essential oils dropped on them between uses for an aromatherapy boost. These also make fantastic cat toys (my kitties used to steal them all the time!)
Note about yarns: Yarns listed are only suggestions, as I have made these in all sorts of 100% non-superwash wools. Honestly, the only steadfast rule about this pattern is that the wool must be feltable. You can even use thinner wool by either, a) adding an additional increase round to make the base circle of the pouch wider, or b) holding multiple strands together to create a bulkier yarn. Go stash-diving!
