Product Details
This simple beanie is loved by adults and children alike, with its subtle splash of rainbow colour. It's the perfect pattern if you want to learn how to knit with different colours, because I provide full instructions as well as a detailed photo tutorial of how to darn all the colour ends away neatly and invisibly.
Directions are given for head circumferences from 47cm - 58cm (approx 1 year to large adult). You only need to be able to cast-on, cast-off, knit, purl and decrease by knitting 2 stitches together. It can be knitted in one piece or in the round.
Uses 1 x 50g ball of any chunky yarn (approx 65m) that gives you the correct gauge, plus scraps of chunky wool in rainbow colours (approx 4m each). I used Texere Chunky (discontinued) and Wendy Mode Chunky in the samples pictured. Another brilliant alternative is Stylecraft Special Chunky.
Copyright note: You can't reproduce, copy or resell the pattern, but you're very welcome to sell any beanies you make from the pattern.
