Product Details

This little pram/buggy/cuddle blanket has been worked using Paintbox Simply DK yarns, taking full advantage of the handy little 10g balls & huge selection of colours available in this range.

The blanket uses a total of 232 grams of yarn, 100g of white + 132g in any colours you like. I have knitted my blanket with 18 separate bands of colour, using approx 8g of each colour to create a colourful rainbow effect but you could adapt the pattern in different ways, using alternating bands of colour or graduating colours for a dip dye effect, or just using one main colour with the white – however you like.

The finished blanket measures 26.5 x 25 ins (67 x 64 cms) & is knitted flat in one piece on straight, single point needles.

The ripple effect is made with an 8 row repeat pattern, of which 6 rows are Garter stitch (knit every row) with the simple pattern row repeated twice.

The garden bugs are worked separately & added to the finished blanket.

The pattern is in PDF format on 6 pages.

Notes
The only shades not included in the Paintbox range were bright turquoise, sky & cornflower, so I used King Cole Dollymix & Stylecraft DK here instead
