Product Details
Everywhere I’ve lived, rain has played a major role in life, whether it was a drought in farm country, the nearly constant drizzle of the Pacific Northwest, or the magnificent thunderstorms of the midwest. Despite my location changes, I have always loved the lazy quality of a rainy day, and watching the raindrops make trails on the windows adds a simple joy to an afternoon spent with yarn and needles.
Raindrops on Windows is written in three sizes, measured at the cabled band. Stitches are picked up from the edge of the band and worked up to the crown to create a slouchy hat with a texture reminiscent of raindrop trails on windows. For those that don't enjoy purling, this pattern includes alternate instructions for working the hat inside out, eliminating most of the purling.
While this pattern is written in Sport weight yarn, the Raindrops on Windows hat can be worked at a variety of weights and gauges by making a few modifications. There is a chart provided in the pattern.
