Product Details
from Cristi: I found a nice stretchy lace pattern and got to work. I went toe-up so as to make the most of each skein. I came out with a nice ankle sock with some neat random ribbing separating out two different lace panels. The sock is named for my favorite British Sci-Fi comedy (because there are so many to choose from you know) inspired by the character The Cat. He used to sing to his dinner before he'd eat.
I'm gonna get you little fishies,
I'm gonna get you little fish
Why? Well, the instep lace pattern is called "Fish-Scale Lace" and the pattern on the back of the ankle is called "Fishtail Lace"
ETA: Don't worry about the weight of the yarn used in this pattern! Any sock yarn can be substituted using whatever stitch count you need. Just make up the extra stitches in the random ribbing between the lace panels. Have fun with it!
