Product Details
The red fox is the largest of the true foxes and one of the most widely distributed members of the Caniformia. Despite their reputation as sly, shrewd scoundrels in legends, foxes actually are loyal, communal creatures. So - maybe just this once - knit your fabulous fox as a gallant hero! And don’t forget to make the tree trunk for your fine fox to fashionably pose on!
The fox and the wood log were made on 2.25 mm double pointed needles (UK 13, US 1). The fox was made in Scheepjes Merino Soft (601) Pollock (for the smoky black parts), Rowan Felted Tweed (154) ginger and half a strand (= 1 ply) of Rowan Chenille (762) winter white and the wood log in Rowan Felted Tweed (153) phantom, (160) gilt and (175) cinnamon. The felted tweed creates a great rugged look!
This fox measures 19 cm from nose to tail, the log is 3 cm in height. Both are an easy, fast and fun knit with some knitting in the round and flat, intarsia color work and some basic crocheting (explained in the text).
