Ribbon Jacket

This elegant jacket features a single button closure with ribbon trim, collar, pockets, full length set in sleeves and binding to collar, sleeves, body and pocket tops. The body is worked in one piece to the armholes and then divides for fronts and back. The collar is knitted separately and the binding on all pieces is worked by picking up stitches. For this design it is recommended to weave in the contrast yarn (Yarn B) at back of work between motifs to avoid floats. The original yarn was Artesano Superwash Merino (solid shade, DK weight) and Manos del Uruguay Silk Blend. The Artesano yarn is now discontinued but Wendy Merino DK might be a suitable alternative, or try yarnsub for other suggestions.
