Ridgeline is a garter stitch crescent shawl with a knit-on Irish lace edging. This shawl is both seamless and reversible, making it perfect for wear as both a shawl and as a cowl. The DK weight of the yarn makes it an elegant and wearable choice for cool weather, day or night.

This shawl requires approximately 425 yards (160 g) of DK weight 4-ply yarn. It is recommended that one alternate skeins while working the body of the shawl if using hand-dyed yarn, as is recommended for this pattern. The edging pattern begins with a set-up row on the right side of the fabric because the cable cast-on method is worked from what will become the wrong side of the fabric. The stitch pattern of the lace edging is primarily worked on the wrong side rows. This is not a design error.
