Product Details
This pattern can be found in issue 4 of [Laine Magazine][1].
Rift is a modern, cabled cowl knitted in the round. Rift’s deeply furrowed, geometric cable motif is inspired by the dramatic landscapes shaped by tectonic movement within the earth’s crust. This design is well suited to any solid colour of yarn, but works especially well in light colours and rich, saturated hues. This cowl is sized to be worn wrapped twice around the neck.
Sample shown is knit in Swans Island All-American Worsted (75% Rambouillet wool, 25% Alpaca); your favorite aran or heavy-worsted weight yarn may be substituted. Cowl requires approximately 630 yards.
Cable pattern instructions are provided both in charted and written format. Instructions are provided for optional special techniques including tubular cast-on, tubular bind-off, and cabling without the use of a cable needle.
