I designed this pattern firstly as a challenge to myself, I have never knitted yoga socks and I liked the look and decided to have a go. The pattern stitch created reminds me of walking along the beach and watching the waves come in to shore and just watching the gently ripple they create as they come in and that is how the pattern got it's name.
