A winding road that ends up where it began. Or maybe waves on a beach, ripples on the sand – whatever you imagine ...
This cowl is easy to make, having a pattern that is easy to learn which only changes at the beginning and end of the rows. The reverse is similar, though not exactly the same, as the right side, and looks good on either side.
You can make it narrow or wide (lane or motorway?), short or long, and use a range of yarns and needles. The pattern is written in 2 variations for a 10ply/worsted weight (yellow sample) that is wide but short; and an aran weight yarn (cream sample) that is narrower but longer. Other variations are easily possible.
The cowl is made flat on 2 needles and joined into a loop using a 3-needle-cast-off. Written and charted pattern.
