Product Details
Rooftop is an eyecatching triangle-shaped shawl with short row pattern. It’s worked in one piece from cast on to bind off. No need for intarsia or picking up stitches, only the magic of short rows. The shawl is also nearly symmetrical, which makes it easy to wear.
YARN: The sample is made in Madelinetosh Twist Light (420 yds / 384 m per 100 g skein, 75 % merino wool, 25 % nylon) and Hedgehog Fibres Sock Yarn (437 yds / 400 m per 100 g skein, 90 % superwash merino, 10 % nylon).
If you'd like to substitute yarn, you'll need approximately 460 yds / 421 m MC, 100 yds / 91 m CC1 and 110 yds / 101 m CC2.
NEEDLES: size US 4 / 3.5 mm circular needle
NOTIONS: 1 stitch marker, row counter, tapestry needle to weave in the yarn ends.
GAUGE: 21 sts and 48 rows in Garter stitch = 4” / 10 cm Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect the amount of yarn used and the final size of the shawl.
