Product Details
The Roundabout Dishcloth and Coaster are my take on the traditional square dishcloth, but with softer, rounded corners. These are knit using short rows of garter ridges (one row u-knit + one row purl = garter ridge) to create triangular "sections" and 4 sections together creates a square fabric. You then take the long tail and sew the cast on edge and the bind off edges together.
Loom: 3/8” gauge loom with a minimum of 21 pegs
Yarn: worsted weight [4] yarn
Coaster - approximately 40-45 yards.
Dishcloth - approximately 60-75 yards.
Finished Sizes:
Coasters = 4” square
Dishcloths = 8” square
Due to the short row construction, these patterns are suitable for an intermediate loom knitter.
The pattern also includes instructions for loom knitting a striped dishcloth or coaster using two skeins of yarn.
