Rowan Big Wool

Knitted up beautifully, really easy to work with and no snapping. I used it because I have sensitivity to synthetic fibres and I didn't show any signs of irritation whilst working it. Would deffo use again.

Love this yarn! It feels soft and quite silky, with a perfect drape. The only drawback for me is that my pattern recommends 15mm needles and I found it quite hard to maintain a good tension with such big needles. My next project with this yarn will be using the rowan-recommended needle size of 10mm or 12mm and I anticipate these needles to be easier. I haven’t ever knitted chunky or super chunky before, so super-sized needles are new to me. I’m more used 4.5mm or lower. The Big Wool yarn is so good that I’d happily buy it again, it is a real pleasure to handle.

Good quality wool but need large size needles to knit with so quite cumbersome but achieved a good finished result

Knitted up lovely made up a baby blanket and hat for premature baby's.

It does pill somewhat and it’s VERY important to change to a new ball at the end of a row

It’s a beautiful yarn. Knits up beautifully. Had a knot where yarns eew joined together in on one of balls but otherwise perfect. I bought 8 balls. Have knitted 3. Hopefully, that was a fluke. I would recommend and buy again if pattern called for it.
