Product Details
This is a pattern for a fairly long wingspan crescent shaped shawlette. The bottom is complimented by a lovely lace stitch that adds a wonderfully feminine finish to this piece. In addition, the bottom is also enhanced with beads, which are optional, of course. The shawlette measures 62 inches at the widest points across the top and is 15 inches deep at the deepest point. It is knit with a heavy fingering weight yarn on a size #6 (U.S.)/4.00mm needle. I have shown it in the pictures in just a couple of the many ways that it can be worn.
This pattern is Charted ONLY.
There are also directions contained within the pattern to make it larger.
The Edging Stitch comes to us from Canada and the creative mind of Annie Maloney.
Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).
The shawl was knit with Lorna's Laces Sportmate yarn, however, any heavy weight fingering yarn or sport weight yarn will work for this pattern. The beads shown are purple metallic from Toho (#460).
