Rustic Squares Temperature Blanket

A temperature blanket with a difference.

The ‘Rustic Squares’ temperature blanket uses the beautiful, subtle tones of Stylecraft Highland Heathers yarn, to create a unique temperature blanket.

Each diagonal row represents the daily temperature high/low/average for where you live. There's a square for each month of the year

The pattern uses a c2c technique and it's quicker to make than a conventional temperature blanket. I found catching up weekly (for just 20 minutes) was a great way of staying on track.

The finished blanket is a much more manageable size too (approx. 90x 135cm). Tension / gauge however, are not important for this project as there is plenty of yarn to account for different climates and tensions.

The temperature scale is based on the UK climate in degrees celcius, but it can easily be adapted to your own climate and temperature scale.
