Product Details
Sail is a large triangular shawl. It's worked from the half circle at the top center down.
You will need fingering-weight yarn in at least three colors: two colors for the stripes, and some contrasting color for the outline. You can also use different colors for each stripe. I give the exact amount of yarn by weight and length for each stripe in the description below; it's all Kauni (400m/100g). If you're using yarn of different thickness, you need to estimate the amount by the length, rather than by weight. For the shawl as pictured, I used: 120g (500m) of gray, 100g (400m) of gradient, and 30g of black fingering yarn. You will also need 4mm (size 6) circular needles, and one stitch marker.Techniques used: garter, short rows, decreases/increases. All are simple.
Size and gauge: The shawl measures 220cm at the top, and drops 90cm in height.
Gauge should be approx. 20sts by 28 rows in 10cm.
