Salute Socks
This sock pattern is part of my ‘Palaces of the Grand Canal’ collection. It is inspired by the 600th hundred basilica of Madonna della Salute. A majestic church on the Canal Grande, dedicated to the Virgin Mary patron of health. The sock is built from the calf down with a small colorwork accent that wants to mimic the golden ball structure that you can admire just by the basilica. The heel is a revisitation of the traditional heel flap and gusset.
