This shawl knits up quickly in an aran weight yarn, using garter stitch and cable edges for a more interesting knit. This shawl was inspired by the need to knit shawls which younger people can appreciate and incorporate into their wardrobes.
Materials: 7 Balls African Expressions – Harmony (609m/665 yards) US 8 (5.0 mm) circular needles (32”) 80cm long cable needle
Gauge: 4.5 stitches in stockinette = 1 inch
Finished Size: 63” (160cm) long and 12” (30.5cm) wide
