This is a great project for a beginner who is ready for more than plain old garter or stockinette stitch. The design uses only Knit and Purl stitches. It also uses smaller needles,and is larger than most knitted dishcloths. It’s a quick knit that looks like you’ve spent a great deal of time. This dishcloth can also make a great gift.

Worsted Weight cotton is great for this dishcloth. Solid colors, rather than variegated, will make the stitches stand out better.

I like a tighter gauges for my dishcloths because they wear better. Also, I like larger sized dishcloths than what most patterns specify. You'll find this dishcloth to be thick and dense and nice and large to get the job done!
