Product Details
SCHMETTERLING shawl (German for butterfly) is a silky, soft and extraordinary accessory with a lot of knitting fun. It is knitted with two yarn weights and textures, one Fingering (non-hairy) and one Lace Mohair (hairy). The combination of the yarns makes the design light and airy. The pattern is inspired by velvet and playful butterfly wings.
The shawl has an asymmetrical triangular shape and it is knitted flat from one corner to the opposite edge. The stitch pattern is made of a Stockinette and Weave Stitch stripes combination. The width of the stripes is varying through the pattern and creates an interesting look. The shape is created with stitch increases. The edge stitches are knitted in Garter and Slipped Stitch.
